To be a catalyst that encourages and motivates organizations and people to create innovative solutions within the healthcare system which addresses the clinical and social needs of our communities.
Our main focus is encouraging local organizations to develop integrated health care and social services programs that improve the health of needy children in our area.
GCH Heritage Foundation seeks to provide grants to qualified organizations who are interested and able to develop clinical programs and services that improve the health status of specific groups of community members who have unresolved clinical needs. We encourage efforts that consider the continuum of care by involving multiple organizations.
Our intent is to support smaller local community health organizations in Western Southeastern Michigan, who are providing clinical and/or social services to children under the age of 18. These organizations typically are not highly capitalized to develop new programs.

The GCH Heritage Foundation grant provided critical funding that Development Centers needed for evidence-based professional development. Through this opportunity, our early childhood mental health services now have the tools to better care for young children in our community who are exposed to trauma. Our programs provide therapy, education and additional support to give children and families an opportunity to grow and thrive in their home environment.
With the assistance of grants from the GCH Heritage Foundation, Kids’ Health Connections has been able to expand our FitKids 360 intervention program for healthy lifestyles to include their families making changes in nutrition, physical activity and now, mental health programs for coping with stress, conflicts and other family trauma.
